SA Metal was created to give residents of San Antonio a single source for all of the local metal concerts. Having lived in San Antonio for the past 3 years, we’ve found it very difficult to gain information concerning what metal concerts were going on when. With SA Metal you will be able to find information on every metal concert in San Antonio, regardless of the venue size or the popularity of the band.
SA Metal was also designed to spread the word on the local underground metal bands. We feel that for the metal scene to survive, the metal acts that call San Antonio home need more support from their local community.
We have also been discouraged by the lack of metal blogs/websites that hold informative and thought provoking conversations. Being a member of the metal community in San Antonio for the past few years I have noticed that we are comprised of knowledgeable and bright metal fans. Therefore, this blog/website will provide a common ground where unknown bands can be shared and discussions concerning controversial metal topics can be started.
